Guitar Convention Inc. is now accepting vendor applications for two of the three conventions in 2011. Guitar Con MA will be held at the Central Massachusetts Expo Center in Fitchburg Massachusetts on April 16, 2011 from 10am-8pm and April 17, 2011 from 10am-7pm. Guitar Con NJ will be held at the Meadowlands Expo Center August 27 and 28 2011. The third will most likely take place in Daytona Beach in early December 2011. These conventions are open to the public. Participating vendors are the manufacturers, retailers and other industry professionals. The convention will also host free clinics/workshops, book signings and live entertainment.

The first Guitar Convention, held October 22-23 at the Parsippany Hilton, drew serveral hundred enthuiastic players. Staged by Don Oriolo, the founder of Oriolo Guitars, the event featured a combination of manufacturer exhibits, master classes, and clinics. Oriolo said that based on the success of the event, future conventions would be held in Boston and New York. "Everyone who was here said that this event really filled an unmet need," he said.
